The room is suited to formats with a single group of up to 45; it doesn't split between concurrent meetings.

## The setting

The Events House sits within the 16-acre property at the top of the Blackall Range. Five minutes from Montville Village, an hour and a quarter from Brisbane, around 40 minutes from Sunshine Coast Airport. The location reads as remote but is a normal drive from any of the coast suburbs.

Wi-Fi is available in the meeting room, the one place on the property where it works reliably; the cabins are deliberately Wi-Fi-free. That's useful for the format. The day's connectivity stays in the meeting room, not the cabins guests sleep in.

## Day-vs-evening configurations

The room reconfigures through the day for workshop-style use during daylight hours and seated-event use in the evening. Setup and turnover between formats are handled by Karen and Michael.

For specifics (table arrangements, AV, sound, screen, lectern, kitchen access, catering options), contact reception. The list changes with availability and what each booking needs.

## Combined with cabin accommodation

The most common booking pattern combines the Events House for the daytime or evening session with cabin accommodation for the participants. Ten cabins on the property:

- Five couples cottages (Cuddle Pie, Snuggle Pot, Harmony, Peace, Seclusion) and a studio (Silky Oak)
- Three two-storey family cabins (Rose Gum, Iron Bark, Hoop Pine)

Block bookings for the whole property are possible. Wedding groups, corporate offsites and writers' or artists' retreats have all booked the full set. The cabins act as accommodation for participants; the Events House holds the daily session; the property's walking paths and lake serve as the breakout space when sessions stop for lunch.

For workshop and retreat bookings, allow a few weeks' lead time; the cabin-block element of the booking takes longer to confirm than the room itself.
