# Tables worth the drive.

Hinterland kitchens lean on what is grown and pressed nearby. Most of the rooms below are five to ten minutes from the cabin door. Book ahead for the headline two.

## Cellar door and *deck lunches* on Western Avenue.

A few minutes along Western Avenue, Flame Hill opens its Montville cellar door for wine tasting and sales, with deck and terrace lunches listed Wednesday to Sunday. Reserve a table before you go.

## Lunch and high tea above *Baroon Pocket Dam*.

A short drive to the lake, a long table on a treehouse-style deck. Dining on the Deck serves lunch, afternoon tea and high tea Tuesday to Sunday, with bookings recommended before you arrive.

## Five minutes to the village.

Coffee at Poets Cafe, lunch at Montville Bar and Grill, or dinner at Fiorio & Co, now a rustic French bistro. Walk it off between the galleries and the historic clock shop on Main Street.
