# Peace

A ground-floor couples cabin set against the rainforest edge, with the bath beside the fireplace and the kitchen open to the lounge.

Peace shares its layout with Harmony and Seclusion: a king bed, a king-size spa beside the fireplace, a self-contained kitchen and a covered patio. The lounge carries a sofa bed for one extra guest when needed.

The patio looks into remnant rainforest. Whip birds and kookaburras carry through the canopy; green tree frogs join in after rain. Inside, the bath sits where the fire collects – designed for slow evenings rather than busy ones.

Two-night minimum is the usual. The cabin sits fifty to a hundred metres from its nearest neighbour, so the only noise from outside is the bush.

## The morning

A continental hamper is stocked in the cabin for the length of your stay: cereals, bread, butter, jams, juice, milk. Each morning Michael delivers fresh croissants to the door. Coffee from the kitchen, taken on the patio.

## The evening

Welcome chocolates wait on the kitchen bench. From April to September, firewood is supplied for the slow-combustion fireplace; light it from the basket beside the hearth and run the spa bath deep. The possums usually come down to the lawn around dusk.

## Beyond the cabin

Kondalilla National Park starts on the property boundary; the trailhead to the falls is a short walk. Montville village is a five-minute drive for cafés, galleries and the historic clock shop. Maleny and Mapleton sit a little further along the ridge.
