# In their own words.

Real guests, real stays. Every review below was left by a guest who actually spent a night here.

> Michael is a wonderful, friendly and exceptional host. He quietly provides hot croissants every morning with breakfast. The gardens are beautiful and the wildlife is lovely. The peace and serenity are amazing. The cabins are so comfortable and roomy. The spa bath is luxurious. The cabin looks small but it's so roomy inside. It has everything you can think of. Thank you, Michael, for all your hard work in making this a great experience for us. Highly recommend.

> Perfection! From the driveway in amongst the trees to the clean, calm and quiet cabin. The complimentary cheese plate, cereals/milk and teas/coffees/chocolates were such a beautiful touch! Michael also supplied a dinner hamper (last-minute request) so we could enjoy the serenity and not head out to town for dinner, as well as delivering fresh-baked croissants in the morning. Wine is available to purchase in the cabin should you wish. Michael (owner) is incredibly thoughtful and considerate and went out of his way to ensure our short stay was relaxing and enjoyable. Honestly, best service and perfect amenities for a beautiful time away!

> We had a wonderful time staying in Snugglepot at Montville Country Cabins to celebrate our anniversary. There was a wide array of breakfast options, the cabin was well equipped for cooking and the hot croissants each morning were great. The cheese platter and yoghurts included from Maleny Cheese were probably my favourites though. There is a DVD player in the cabin and various DVDs and books to borrow from reception, which we loved. We also had lots of kookaburra visitors. Michael is a great host and we will definitely be back if we are visiting the area. Thanks again!

> An absolutely amazing place to stay! The hosts Michael and Karen are by far the best hosts we have ever met. They have the best attention to detail we have ever experienced. The hot croissants delivered every morning are to die for. We highly recommend a stay here any time of the year!

> We recently spent a few nights in the Cuddlepie cabin, and our stay couldn't have been more perfect. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by friendly and accommodating hosts who made us feel completely at home. Waking up each morning to fresh, warm croissants was such a thoughtful touch, and enjoying them while listening to the peaceful sounds of the surrounding wildlife felt truly magical. The cabin itself was tranquil and cosy, and the view overlooking the lake was absolutely breathtaking, easily one of the highlights of our stay. Every detail contributed to a wonderfully relaxing getaway, and we left feeling refreshed and grateful. We can't recommend this place highly enough! Thank you, Michael and Karen.

> Perfect place for a weekend escape! Quiet and secluded. Service was second to none. The hot croissants delivered each day were the best. Highly recommend a visit.

> We have stayed here a few times and it never disappoints. The cabins are rustic, cosy and private. The owners are lovely and the little touches they do, like delivering warm croissants each morning, just make it even better. It's so peaceful sitting on the verandah or in the spa, listening to the little creek and the animals, and having some kookaburras come visit.

> My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and had the most magical experience. Everything was beautifully curated and so thoughtfully done. The setting was private and secluded, which made it feel like our own little paradise. The service was warm, attentive, and made us feel so well cared for throughout our stay. It was truly the perfect romantic getaway, and we couldn't have asked for a better way to celebrate our honeymoon. Highly recommend!

> The breakfast was absolutely delicious. Michael was fantastic, he gave us great recommendations on where to go and what to do, and was always so helpful. I would definitely recommend this place, not only for the lovely cabins but also for the outstanding attention and care that make the experience truly special. Thank you, Michael!

> What a beautiful place and a fantastic 2-day stay. Loved everything about this wonderful gem of a place. We stayed in Rosegum and couldn't have wished for a better place. The floating bed was amazing and the daily croissants delivered to the door were the perfect wake-up with a steaming jug of coffee. The bird life was fantastic, with kookaburras visiting each day. The welcome hamper and cheese platter were excellent, and Michael the owner couldn't have been any more helpful and welcoming. Definitely recommended, and we will be back.

> We had an absolutely lovely weekend getaway at Montville Country Cabins. Michael was so very accommodating, friendly and happy to help in any way. The fireplace was excellent, the breakfast package was so delicious, the wine available to purchase in the cottage was a treat and the location was so relaxing. We will absolutely be back and can't recommend this stay highly enough. Do yourself a favour and book in now! You won't be disappointed!

> We spent 2 nights in Rosegum cabin this last weekend. I must say, I highly recommend a stay here. It was the most relaxing 2 nights we have had in some time. Michael's friendliness and service were probably the best I have ever encountered. He was genuinely happy to do what he does. The grounds were quiet and relaxing, with only the voices of the wildlife to be heard. The resident kookaburras kept us intently entertained for hours with their visits to our balcony. The bed was an experience (if you know, you know)! We were so impressed, we booked again, this time for 3 nights, at checkout for October, opting to celebrate our 26th wedding anniversary here. And I just can't wait! If you are looking to just get away from everything city rat-race related and turn your brain off, 100% check out Montville Country Cabins. I feel we will be regulars.

> We just returned from the most wonderful stay at Montville Country Cabins, and I can't recommend this place highly enough! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The cleanliness was absolutely perfect, you could tell that every detail had been carefully attended to. The box fireplace was a highlight, warming the cabin beautifully and creating such a cosy atmosphere for our evenings. As someone who suffers from back problems, I was thrilled to find that the bed was fantastic and gave me the best night's sleep I've had in ages, my back felt great every morning! One of the most delightful surprises was the local wildlife. The kookaburras during breakfast were incredible, they'd sit right on the deck rails and clearly loved being fed. The complimentary touches really made our stay special. The wine, port, cheese, yoghurts and the croissants (delivered warm each morning!) were all so yummy and such a thoughtful gesture. But as coffee lovers, we were particularly impressed by the fresh ground coffee, now that's attention to detail that true coffee enthusiasts really appreciate! The grounds themselves are just beautiful and perfectly maintained. You can tell there's real pride taken in keeping everything pristine and welcoming. Michael, the owner, deserves special mention. He was incredibly friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. His warm hospitality really made the difference, and you can feel the personal care he puts into his establishment. Karen, Michael's wife, was equally wonderful. We only met her once when we were checking out, however she was very bubbly and friendly, which was such a lovely way to end our stay. We also had the pleasure of dining at the Montville Bar and Grill, which has now officially become our "on the map" place to eat every time we visit the area. The owner, Ryan, should be truly proud of what he's created there. In conclusion, Montville Country Cabins is an absolute must-stay when visiting the area. We'll definitely be back! ...if only we could have given 6 stars :)

> The cabins are perfect. If you are looking to relax and reset, this is the place. It was beautiful to light the fireplace and read a book while only hearing the birds, followed by a spa bath looking out to the stars. Michael, the caretaker, was incredible. From the moment we arrived, everything was taken care of and thought out. The fresh hot croissants delivered each morning are delicious.
>
> – Tamara

> The moment you drive in, a sense of calm hits you! Michael's attention to detail is impeccable. The cheese platter, the fresh croissants every morning, yum! Put that $2 in the little mystery box while you soak in a bath or enjoy the fire. Reminded us of home. 🌧 The dinner BBQ pack, chef's kiss, delicious. We wish we could stay longer, 2 nights isn't enough. We will be back!

> My wife and I have just spent time in this wonderful accommodation on our honeymoon. Karen and Michael are the most delightful and attentive hosts. Their cabins are secluded, very cute and extremely relaxing. The spa bath is huge, the bed very comfortable, and sitting on the deck having your morning coffee is food for the soul. The welcome pack and supplies of local delicious delicacies are amazing. You must also try their BBQ dinner hampers. The food was magnificent and there was so much we got two dinners out of it. Karen and Michael also had no problem mixing ours up into a vegetarian and seafood pack to accommodate both of our needs. Do not worry about getting the fireplace started, Michael will help get that roaring fire going. Thank you for making our stay so relaxing. We will definitely be returning.

> This place, atmosphere, service and rooms are incredible. We came here on a last-minute whim and now will be giving visits to our friends and family as gifts and coming back again ourselves too. The sound of the rainforest surrounds every morning and night, as well as the view from the room, was so tranquil and calming, and the room looked like it could be from Goldilocks and the 3 Bears. A friendly kookaburra would greet us every morning, and the owners delivered fresh croissants to our door every morning. Stargazing is just wow, and the spa bath and BBQ were good bonuses. Thanks again, Karen and Michael, this place and you guys were awesome.

> Beautiful property in such a lovely part of the Sunshine Coast. The owners, Karen and Michael, were so lovely and welcoming to their beautiful property. The cabins were cute and quaint, with beautiful views visited by the cute kookaburras. Each morning, fresh croissants were left at the door to have with the eggs, sausage and bacon provided. We also purchased the delicious BBQ package and cooked it on the balcony Weber. The pack was a great amount of food at a good cost. Overall, we had a wonderful relaxing vacation and would love to return soon.

> Montville Country Cabins is an absolute gem! My fiancée and I have stayed here both for personal getaways and for business purposes, and each experience has been outstanding. The cabins are beautifully designed, offering the perfect blend of comfort and tranquillity. Every detail is thoughtfully considered, from the cosy interiors to the stunning natural surroundings, it's impossible not to relax here. Michael and Karen are incredibly welcoming and they go above and beyond to make your stay memorable. Whether it's enjoying a quiet moment by the fireplace or exploring the gorgeous grounds, Montville Country Cabins is a retreat we always look forward to. Plus, waking up to the freshly baked croissants each morning was heaven! Highly recommend for couples, families, or even work-related escapes. Can't wait for our next visit!

> Karen and Michael were amazing hosts, so friendly and welcoming. The grounds are beautiful, we had fun exploring the rainforest and the gardens are stunning. The cabin was adorable, so cosy and quaint, and well equipped with everything you would need. Sitting on the balcony looking at the rainforest and listening to the birds was so relaxing and peaceful. We loved warming up by the wood fire and indulging in a relaxing spa bath. The welcoming package was exceptional, made up with products from local businesses. The hot croissants delivered to the cabin every morning for breakfast were a real highlight. We will definitely be coming back again.

> If you are looking for a romantic getaway for you and your partner, make sure you check these guys out. From the second we arrived, Michael and Karen couldn't have been more welcoming. We had our own secluded cottage with the fireplace inside, which made it perfect for listening to the rain outside. Be sure to order one of their packs for dinner, the meat just melted away and there was more than enough food for 2 people. Just be aware of the family of kookaburras waiting for you to stop paying attention. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a magical night.

> Awesome view from our lovely cabin. Was surprised to find a platter in the fridge for our breakfast and a tray of other items to accommodate for other breakfast items on the bench. Our fire bin was refilled every day, the fire was lovely and our cabin was very cosy. The bed was a comfortable sleep and the spa was pretty cool. We loved feeding the kookaburras who made a beeline for our verandah each day. Even the bush turkeys found us! Will come back for sure. It rained for 3 days that we were there, but nothing stopped us going out and about to explore. If anything, the rain on the tin roof and a roaring fire kept us very happy. Montville and Maleny are just a short drive away with lovely antique stores, delis and many eating options. Woolworths is located in Maleny as well. Flame Hill Vineyard is located very close to the entrance of the cabins and is well worth a lunch or dinner visit. We had lunch at Cappriccios Italian Restaurant and loved it so much we went back again the next day! The food was simply divine and priced very reasonably. Flame Hill Vineyard did wine tastings for $15. You could taste 5 of their wines for that price. We picked different ones and shared the tasting, so we actually tried 10 altogether. Staff were very accommodating even though they were clearing up from the lunch time rush, but we did not feel rushed at all and left with a lovely bottle of Shiraz and a bottle of Wild Child... so good.

> It was very refreshing to be immersed in this wonderful location for a few days. We instantly felt very relaxed and comfortable. The hosts were very helpful when we needed to change cabins due to my mobility issues. They also gave us a late check-out without us asking, much appreciated. Thank you, Karen and Michael.

> This is a lovely, quaint and quiet place to stay. The new owners, Karen and Michael, really went above and beyond to make the stay memorable and enjoyable. Warm fresh croissants each morning, a cheese board, local milk and yoghurt and a breakfast hamper were all provided. The spa bath is phenomenal and the fireplace makes this the perfect place to spend some time in winter. The kookaburras are friendly and pleasant (although a little cheeky). Will most definitely be back!

> Romantic, relaxing and refreshing. We were totally surprised with our stay in March 2022. The beautiful manicured gardens and trees as you drive in instantly relax you. The owners are so friendly and inviting, they even left a delicious hamper in our room. The cottage we stayed in was called Peace, it's totally private and set amongst Montville's famous bushland. Kookaburras and many other birds sit in the trees and make beautiful sounds all day long. The spa is super spacious and overlooks the bushland. The room amenities are more than enough, and yes, the bed is super comfortable. We will definitely be back to try the other cottages over time. Thank you so much, Montville Country Cabins, for making our stay a memorable one!

> We had a wonderful stay! A step back in time to the rustic cabin days, but absolutely loved the environment and the quiet. Our cabin 'Seclusion' had a spa, and sunset from the spa was pretty special. Easy check-in, check-out experience and friendly hosts.
>

> Pure tranquillity. On entering, we were amazed with the well-kept gardens. The hosts were very friendly and offered their services should we need anything during our stay. We stayed in the Hoopine cabin. When we opened the door, we had the most amazing view with the pond right across our verandah. Kitchen appliances were great if you wanted to cook your own meals, and a BBQ was outside on the verandah. We had three adults staying for two nights. A very substantial continental breakfast basket was more than enough for us. The only noise we heard during our whole stay was the wonderful sounds of all the different birdlife. We highly recommend a stay here if peace and quiet is what you are looking for. We will definitely return.

> MCC was delightful beyond our expectations. The grounds are magnificent. The large property has well-established gardens, mature trees, untouched bush and even a lake, plus lots of birdlife. And quiet. At the end of a no-through road, with much space between cabins, the only noise you hear is what you make yourself. The location is perfect. From here we had easy access to all the tourist spots of Montville, Maleny and Mapleton. The cabins are well appointed. It was cold enough at night for us to have a fire, which was a novelty for us and much fun. Our cabin was Iron Bark and we had great views of the lake from the balcony. We used the BBQ and luxuriated in the spa bath. The shower had two shower heads and was spacious enough for two. The property is safe, secure and very private. It is perfect to share with family or for a romantic getaway. The owners, Karen and Michael, were friendly and easygoing and went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. We really enjoyed the freshly baked croissants each morning. We cannot recommend Montville Country Cabins too highly. They are simply magnificent. We will return.

> What a beautiful place to stay. Michael the owner was a fantastic host, with wonderful little additions to the cabin like a cheese platter on arrival, freshly baked croissants every morning, and also fruit, breakfast cereal and yoghurts, everything sourced locally from Montville businesses, all complimentary for our stay. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend this place for anybody to stay.
>
> – Kelley

> Michael would quite literally give you the shirt off his back if you asked. Fresh croissants every morning, a cheese platter, delicious yoghurts and feathered friends (wild food-snatching but very cute kookaburras) are all things you can expect, along with stunning views, a private walk to Kondalilla Falls, and the most splendid rustic cabin you will ever, and I mean ever, nestle into. I'd recommend spending the night in beside the fire watching a DVD picked from Michael's blockbuster collection with a glass of red (which is beyond generously discounted). The lake is gorgeous, a perfect picnic spot, and it's so close to everything. You really must stay, we certainly will again soon!

> We had the most beautiful stay at Montville Country Cabins in the Seclusion cabin. The setting is incredibly peaceful and private, exactly what we were looking for to unwind and switch off. Michael and Karen were exceptional hosts. They made us feel so welcome and provided fantastic local recommendations that really added to our experience. A real highlight was Michael's home-cooked dinner, absolutely delicious and such a special touch. If you're looking for somewhere serene, relaxing and thoughtfully hosted, we would thoroughly recommend staying here. We will definitely be back!

> Montville Country Cabins, what a gem of a place! We stayed in the Snugglepot cabin and it was beautiful. The interiors felt so homely and relaxing. It feels like a treehouse when you're inside, with all the trees and greenery surrounding the cabin. The hospitality from Michael (the owner) is second to none. He gave us a great overview of the place on arrival and was so helpful whenever we had a question. We ordered the BBQ hamper for our first night and loved it so much we ordered another for our second night! It was all delicious local produce. Also, the complimentary croissants delivered each morning were a real treat! We must mention the kookaburras, our favourite part. They visited the balcony each time we were out there. They are cheeky, you might want to be careful with your food as they aren't afraid to try and snatch it from you. Perfect for couples or even solos wanting to escape the busy world and slow down. We only had a two-night stay but feel like we've been there a week. We're already planning our next stay!

It was the perfect spot for a reset and we feel so refreshed after our time away. Thanks again, Michael and Karen, for our wonderful stay!

> The cabins are located on a huge property towards the end of Western Avenue at Montville. There is a variety of cabins to choose from, some are located at the top of the property and others towards the bottom. There is a large lake that sits between the two sections. We were in Seclusion which is at the bottom of the property, but it seems that you would have a good view of the lake or the mountain itself if you rented a cottage that is higher up. The cabin has everything you need for a relaxing and/or romantic getaway. Each cottage is nestled in trees and there is a good distance between them to maintain privacy. There is a wonderful spa bath with a large window so you can relax in the spa with a lovely view of the bushland and the multitude of birds that are in the area. The king-sized bed was comfortable and the pillows large and fluffy. The kitchen is well equipped. Cheeses and other delights were in the fridge for us on arrival and there was free port to enjoy with the platter. There was also a generous continental breakfast for each morning of our stay, and fresh croissants were delivered at 8 o'clock each morning. There was a BBQ on our verandah. You could order supplies to cook a hot breakfast and order dinner if you wished. Three bottles of wine were in the cabin for purchase. The drive to the township of Montville is only about 5–10 minutes. The cabins are very well priced in comparison to some of the more expensive cabins in the area.

> We've just returned from the most unforgettable 4-night stay at Montville Country Cabins and cannot recommend it highly enough! We booked the Special Occasions Package ($1500 for 4 nights), and every moment exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the warmth and care of the host set the tone for a truly romantic and relaxing escape. The cabin was exactly what we expected for our romantic time away – from the welcoming touches in the cabin, such as warm cosy robes, a fireplace already prepared, a complimentary bottle of wine and chocolates on the kitchen bench, to the serene surroundings that made us instantly unwind. It felt like our own private sanctuary in nature. The cabin was cosy and perfectly styled for comfort and romance. Waking up to the sounds of birds and the rain on the tin roof and sipping coffee on the deck overlooking nature was pure bliss. The grounds are absolutely stunning – a peaceful retreat that feels far from the hustle of everyday life, yet just minutes from everything Montville has to offer. Our host went above and beyond, not only in hospitality but also in helping us make the most of our time. They gave us thoughtful recommendations for restaurants and local attractions – every suggestion was spot-on and helped make our trip even more special. We were so impressed we've already booked a return visit for 5 nights in the near future, that's how much we loved it. If you're looking for somewhere special, secluded, and soul-soothing, this is it. A true gem in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Thank you for such an unforgettable stay – we can't wait to come back!

> New owners! Fresh faces! We are return guests. Michael Cross is the "new blood" behind the cabins now. We enjoyed the attention to detail – the fresh produce and especially use of local ingredients and suppliers. Working well! Maleny has beautiful cheeses, milk and gelato. Our BBQ pack had the most tender eye fillet, and baked potatoes were a great choice for a stay-in meal. With a string of successes between him and his wife Karen in the hospitality business, cooking and tourism, they are really sprucing up the Montville Country Cabins. Michael is extremely friendly and helpful and treats each interaction with guests professionally and in a down-to-earth way. Thanks for a lovely weekend.

> What an amazing place! On arriving, we were welcomed by the lovely Michael, who was so welcoming. We stayed in the Cuddle Pie cabin, which was so adorable, very clean and stylish. Relaxing on the patio overlooking the beautiful lake, snacking on the delicious complimentary cheese board. Relaxing near the fireplace on the cool mornings was so nice. Everything was exceptional and we can't wait to return. I highly recommend Montville Cabins. Thank you, Michael and Karen, for sharing your beautiful touch of paradise.

> My wife and I stayed 3 nights in the Cuddle Pie cabin, which looks directly over the lake. Check-in was a breeze as Karen had all the formalities taken care of before we arrived. After some helpful tips and service, such as booking us a courtesy van for dinner, we were off. The cabin was very clean and waiting was our breakfast hamper, included in the price. We also purchased the BBQ meat hamper option, which included two eye fillets, two sausages, two cooked white potatoes, sour cream, baked garlic bread, fresh salad for two with dressing on the side, and two small tubs of Maleny gelato. Just a note: the eye fillets were amazing. Thank you, Karen and Michael, and congratulations on taking over as the new owners. From hearing about your plans for the cabins, April and I look forward to coming back and seeing what you've accomplished.

> We spent five wonderful nights and six days in the lovely Montville Country Cabins. We enjoyed every moment from the minute we arrived. Karen and Michael, the managers, were warm, friendly and inviting, nothing was too much trouble to them. They will go above and beyond to ensure your stay is perfect. Karen and Michael have great plans for the cabins as they have only recently taken over. Definitely give this beautiful little hideaway a go, you won't regret it. We enjoyed yummy breakfasts each morning, including delicious hot croissants. The kookaburras visited us every day on the railing of our cabin. The birds, bush turkeys, 🐇 rabbits and hares were fantastic to see, and listening to the birds while reading on the veranda is so relaxing. The warm fire each evening was wonderful. It's also a short drive to beautiful Secrets on Lake, where you can enjoy a delicious meal or just a coffee. Also very close to Montville Village. Highly recommend MCCabins. We will be back. Thank you, Karen and Michael.

> We stayed in Harmony cabin, it is the last cabin on the right at the bottom of the long driveway. The cabin is surrounded by trees and is a nice relaxing setting to unwind and view the outside while having a spa. The mobile phone coverage was good and television reception was fine. This was our fourth visit to Montville Country Cabins and not our last :) The food provided as a part of the Early-Bird special booking was very generous and really good.

> A serene location to relax, felt so comfortable! I actually felt like I could wind down and didn't want to leave! We stayed here for a wedding but extended our stay for five nights. We also had one of the dinner packages. Breakfast supplied lasted for days! The dinner also lasted two days! The hospitality was perfect and our cabin was in a secluded location. Highly recommend for romance or if you just need to chill out, you will get it here!

> Third stay at Montville Country Cabins. We stayed again in Cuddle-Pie cabin. The complimentary cheese platter and champagne was greatly appreciated, the breakfast hamper was plentiful, with fresh food that kept us going for the five days of our stay. It is always relaxing and restful and is a great base to travel from to see the surrounding attractions on the Sunshine Coast. I would recommend Montville Country Cabins to couples and families, as the larger cabins cater for more than 2 people.

> Just had a couple of nights midweek in a lovely cabin. Beautiful setting, romantic, peaceful. Bathrobes provided were a nice touch and we love the log fire for cooler weather. Amazing breakfast provided, great choice and quality. Close to walking trails, great shops at Montville and short drive to Maleny or Mapleton. Will definitely aim to return for one of the most relaxing breaks we've had.

> This place is so relaxing! We chose the Harmony cabin which is the last cabin at the bottom of the valley, seclusion is an understatement. As soon as we opened the door, instant feeling of comfort, content, satisfied. Upon arrival, all ingredients for a cooked and continental breakfast were provided, enough to cover the full five days! We were also offered a complimentary BBQ hamper for dinner by booking directly, this also was enough to feed two people for two meals each. The hosts were amazing, allowing us to have our privacy, but also checking in to see if we needed any top-ups of anything. They also offered to pick us up after our hike! We love the outdoors, so walked to Lake Baroon and then up to Kondalilla Falls, full circuit is 23km but can be cut short. The fireplace and spa were used at the end of our days, listening to the sounds of the bush. Highly recommend for anyone needing some time to themselves and away from all the hustle and bustle of city life. Will definitely return!

> We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We stayed in the Iron Bark cottage. It is a beautiful property, the cottage overlooked the large pond. Clean and tidy cottage. The fireplace keeps the whole cottage cosy as we stayed during the winter. Breakfast was amazing, so many choices and plenty for everyone. We had a BBQ pack and it was very generous, which included delicious homemade coleslaw and potato bake. I would definitely recommend the BBQ pack. So nice not to have to think about dinner. Little thoughtful touches made it extra special. Will be a returning guest.

> Was just perfect. If you're wanting to reconnect with your loved one or even just to give your mind a rest, this is the place to go. Silence, peace, and picturesque. Friendly staff and just a beautiful place.

> Cuddlepie cabin is designed for a couple and is in a secluded spot, with lots of birds and wildlife to keep you entertained. Lovely view of the lake and surrounding rainforest. The cabin was supplied with generous breakfast supplies and everything needed to enjoy your time away from home. The king-size bed was comfortable, as was the three-seater couch. The BBQ, table and chairs on the deck made a scenic place to sit and enjoy the peace and tranquillity that was much needed after a hectic working year. Thoroughly enjoyed our second stay here at Montville Country Cabins and will be back.

> My husband and I just stayed here for the long weekend, a lovely quiet spot. Friendly hosts. Cabins clean and had everything we could have asked for. We had the most beautiful seafood hamper delivered. Would highly recommend and we will be back. Thank you so much.

> Relaxing and beautiful cottage and gardens, pond and pathway. Our hosts were very helpful, generous with the hampers and especially the fabulous seafood hamper. The log fire and the rain on roof features were great fun!

> Absolutely loved it here, there was nothing I could fault. The cabin was clean and well presented and equipped with everything we needed. It is certainly a slice of paradise. The rain on the roof is also a unique experience, something I have never seen before. Definitely worth a try, make sure to take some $2 coins so you can try it.

> It's the most romantic accommodation ever. It's so peaceful with the views and the lake. The room was clean and service was amazing. Loving to have a sleep and listen to the rain, that's the interesting experience.

> The property is beautiful and incredibly peaceful. The only sound is bird calls. The cabin was sweet and very clean, and equipped with everything needed. A short drive brings you into the town of Montville, or to great bush walks. Hope to be back.

> Had a lovely time staying here with my partner. There was a lovely view out over the property and a cosy warm fire for the cute cabin we stayed at. We enjoyed the port and we hope to be back again soon!

> We had a lovely time in Montville Country Cabins. The cabins are clean and provide many extras, ie: bread, 1L milk, butter, jams, cereal etc. Such a lovely surprise. Has a lovely quiet position amongst bushland, lake, walkway. I would most certainly recommend Montville Country Cabins, not too far away from mainstream town.

> Beautiful part of the world. Surprise inclusions including port, chocolates and ground coffee for the plunger. Spa bath with a view and pot belly for the chilly winter nights. Friendly, helpful staff.

> We had a 2-night stay, thoroughly enjoyed the accommodation, particularly the wood fire! We met both hosts who were welcoming and helpful. The breakfast basket was very generous and my gluten-free requirements were successfully catered for! Lovely view over the lake, very peaceful and private.

> We stayed 2 nights in the Rose Gum cottage. It was absolutely beautiful. It was 2-storey, with the living area downstairs that included a lounge, dining table, outside deck and table, plus a fireplace. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware etc. The bedroom was upstairs and had a suspended bed. Great views of the dam from both areas. Breakfast was left in the fridge, which included breads, cereal, yoghurt and fruit. The gardens are beautiful. It's very secluded, tranquil and private. I would thoroughly recommend this place.

> What a place! From the lovely gardens, the peaceful surroundings and the well-equipped cabin. We stayed in Hoopine and it slept 3 adults very comfortably. Had a very well-stocked kitchen if you decided to bring your own food to cook. We had a very substantial continental breakfast setup for our 2-night stay. The only sounds that we heard during our stay was the amazing array of birdlife. The cabin overlooked the pond, which only added to the wonderfully maintained gardens. I highly recommend and cannot wait to return again.

> The most stunning location, accompanied by superior management. The cabins' outlook over the lake are simply stunning. The best experience waking up and being able to see it from your bed. Simply perfect.

> My family and I had the pleasure of finding this treasure and spending Christmas here. Absolutely astounding place with amazing views. Our children (12/9/3) all had a blast and we left feeling amazing and relaxed. The hampers provided were a lovely touch. Will definitely be back!

> We were there for a very intimate, relaxed wedding, guests had taken all the cabins, and it was simply idyllic. Lovely secluded cabins which had pretty much everything covered, beautifully appointed and private. The lake, gardens, wildlife all perfect for the occasion.

> Friendly staff, quiet and clean. Perfect for a weekend out of the city. Great location, we will definitely be back. The fireplace was exactly what we wanted on the cold nights and the stars are so bright.

> Stayed for 2 nights in one of the cabins as we attended a wedding. Wonderful cosy cabins in a very peaceful and beautiful environment with lively birdlife. This is a place to relax and unwind. Great hosts.

> We loved our stay at Montville Country Cabins, a place of peace, tranquillity and relaxation. The cabin was clean and very well equipped. Loved the chocolates on arrival and the spa. The BBQ breakfast was very fresh and plenty to eat. Would highly recommend and would love to stay again.

> Exactly what we needed to get away from it all in celebration of our 10-year anniversary. The cabin was perfect and the continental breakfast large and delicious. The birds were plentiful and varied, it was great listening to their songs.
>
> – Milo

> Very lovely setting for a couples retreat or weekend getaway. The cabins are spacious and the continental breakfasts were well stocked for the length of our stay. The additional baskets have a wonderful personal touch with some home-baked goods, all of which added to the wonderful experience. Would definitely recommend for some R&R in the beautiful Sunshine Coast Hinterland!

> What a gem of a place to stay. The accommodation was wonderful. Sitting in the spa overlooking the bushland, felt like we were a million miles away from anyone. We don't sleep in but the bed was huge and very comfortable. Can't believe we slept till 9 each day. We organised the BBQ pack as well as a breakfast pack and we received so much food. Wow.

> Very relaxing place, with nothing around. Cabins well spaced out and everything you need to sit back and relax. Nature was amazing and very close to the centre of Montville, lots of places to visit. Very friendly managers.

> This was the most wonderful relaxing place to stay. From the communication prior to arriving, to the happy faces and chatter when we arrived to the spa and the cabin. Perfect. We needed some time away after a horrific couple of months. We needed peace, reflection and privacy. We got everything and more. The cabins are all private, the walks are relaxing, the spa is large and very easily fits two. I chose the Snugglepot cottage. It was a sheer delight and complete relaxation. The breakfast tray was a wonderful selection of continental choices. Heaps of choices. The bed was very large (I think a king) but very, very comfortable with a selection of pillows. The spa, well that was me, all day, I lived in it to waste months away. An enclosed fireplace was a delight in the evenings, with the reverse cycle air con keeping the temperature perfect. A TV and large selection of videos at reception. Microwave and plenty of cooking facilities. Walk the grounds, say hello to the kookaburras, duck, and wildlife. You have to try out the $2 rain machine. While you're here pop over the road to Flame Hill wines, and call in at the Maleny Food Co fromagerie. Cheese and wine and biscuits. Yum.

> A comfortable cabin with all the amenities needed. Situated in lovely surroundings. Part of the reason to visit was to attend a birthday party at a nearby winery, and managers were very helpful in giving advice on how to get there.

> Booked 2 nights at Montville Country Cabins as a present for my partner's birthday. We were not disappointed! We stayed in Harmony, a very neat and tidy cosy cabin with a spa bath and balcony overlooking the breathtaking rainforest. Lovely touch of complimentary port and chocolates, which we had sitting in front of the wood fire. The rain on the roof feature definitely topped it all off. A super relaxing, cosy country-style getaway, but also in very close proximity to a lot of things if you want to explore, e.g. Lake Baroon, Kondalilla Falls, Flame Hill Vineyard, Montville town itself and much more!

> Visited Montville for a quiet weekend away to relax. The area was beautiful and the accommodation was great, we had a king bed, spa bath and fireplace. Was in a nice secluded area for a romantic and peaceful couple of nights. The service was exceptional, the owners dropped us in for dinner and organised with the restaurant to take us back after. Would definitely recommend staying here.

> Just beautiful! The Cuddlepie cabin was well appointed and breakfast was extremely well stocked. The grounds are so well done. The feeling of peace just permeates you as you stand on the veranda overlooking the lake. The spa with gorgeous views was bliss. A weekend away from our children, house and lives was what we needed and left feeling relaxed and reconnected. Thank you.

> This was the best experience ever, we had a 2-night stay. A 50th birthday bash next door, we were escorted next door with instructions on how to get back and given a torch so we can see. Service was great, the cabin was just lovely and so relaxing, we will be back.

> This is our 2nd visit and we just love this place. Both times we stayed in the cabin 'Seclusion' and can't fault it. Beautiful views and a lovely property. Very cosy and the fire is the perfect touch. Owners are lovely and cabin was very clean.

> My partner and I stayed in the smallest cabin 'Silky Oak' and it was absolutely perfect. Just the right size to have a romantic weekend away snuggling in front of the wood-burning fireplace. Not to mention the abundance of food provided as part of the continental breakfast. The cabin was so clean and the high ceilings and open floor plan made the cabin feel bigger. The bed was also fantastic, with my partner and I not usually liking 'hotel' beds and never getting a great night's sleep, we had such a good night's sleep and were pleasantly surprised. I cannot recommend the accommodation or the lovely owners highly enough. Plus it's in great proximity to town and my favourite winery, Flame Hill.

> Great location and perfect hosts. The cabins are so well appointed and the views are beautiful. We very much enjoyed taking walks from here and also staying in to have a cup of coffee on the verandah. Very nice break.

> These cabins are a must-do for a stay in the hinterland. The owners are very good and you get everything they advertise and more. The breakfast supplies are great, fresh bread, fruit and more. The decanter with port and chocolates on arrival is a nice touch. We stayed in Cuddle Pie cabin, great view of the lake from your own spa. The cabins are clean and very cosy with a log fire. The cabins are very well spaced so you are not overlooked. The overall atmosphere of the place is relaxing and picturesque. The resident birds are very friendly. Tip: don't leave food on your balcony, it will disappear.

> It was a unique nature experience nestled near the lake. My kids absolutely loved the warm and cosy cabin and chirping of different birds in the morning. It was a quiet and relaxing getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life.

> Montville is a beautiful part of the world. If you are looking for a hideaway from everyday life to relax, Montville Country Cabins is perfect. Snuggle by the fire, listen to pretend rain, the rustic cabins are very private which is a good thing as our cabin had a large window beside the spa bath with a lake and bush outlook. It was really just very nice.

> This is a stunning piece of paradise, with cabins around a lake just outside Montville, in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. A gorgeous place to snuggle up, stoke up the fire, wander around the lake, or just hang out!
