# Silky Oak

The compact studio cabin – the only cabin with a queen bed, set lakeside with the same king-size spa and wood fireplace as the larger cabins.

Silky Oak is the smallest of the ten cabins and the only one with a queen bed. The plan is studio – bed, lounge, bath and kitchen flow as one room – with the same inclusions as the larger couples cabins.

The patio sits beside the lake; you will hear the water at night when everything else is still. Inside, the king-size spa bath fronts the same casement window the lounge does, with the wood fireplace a step away.

Smaller, but every essential is here: self-contained kitchen with stovetop, microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster; bathrobes and toiletries supplied; continental hamper stocked for the stay; fresh croissants delivered each morning.

## The cabin *up close*.

A compact self-contained Montville studio with a queen bed, king-size spa bath, wood fireplace, private BBQ patio, lake outlook.

> The water carries at night when everything else is still.

## The morning

A continental hamper is stocked in the cabin for the length of your stay: cereals, bread, butter, jams, juice, milk. Each morning Michael delivers fresh croissants to the door. Coffee from the kitchen, taken on the patio.

## The evening

Welcome chocolates wait on the kitchen bench. From April to September, firewood is supplied for the slow-combustion fireplace; light it from the basket beside the hearth and run the spa bath deep. The possums usually come down to the lawn around dusk.

## Beyond the cabin

Kondalilla National Park starts on the property boundary; the trailhead to the falls is a short walk. Montville village is a five-minute drive for cafés, galleries and the historic clock shop. Maleny and Mapleton sit a little further along the ridge.
