EV-friendly accommodation is still relatively rare in the Sunshine Coast hinterland. Montville Country Cabins set up overnight charging at the cabin parking space for guests who drive electric. Mention your vehicle when you book.

## The trip itself

**From Brisbane:** about 98 km each way. Comfortable round-trip on a single charge for any modern EV. No mid-route charging needed in either direction; the climb up the range adds some draw on the way up and gives some back on the way down.

**From Sunshine Coast Airport:** about 35 km, around 35 to 40 minutes. Trivial range for a charged EV; most guests arrive with plenty in reserve.

**From Noosa:** allow an hour. The hilly route uses more battery than the equivalent flat drive, but it's well within range from any current-generation EV.

## Charging on the property

Charging is set up at the cabin parking space, overnight, with a flat per-night charge for the electricity:

- Mid-size EVs – $20 per night
- Larger SUV EVs – $30 per night

Mention your vehicle's make and model when you book so the right setup is ready on arrival.

## Day-trip range from the cabins

Most of what's worth seeing from Montville sits within an easy round-trip on a single charge:

The longer day-trips, Kenilworth and the Noosa hinterland (90 to 110 km round-trip), suit a fully-charged car and an early start.

## Longer trips onward

The Brisbane round trip needs no charging stop. For longer onward legs, towards the Gold Coast, Toowoomba, or south along the M1, plan a public charging stop with a charging app before you set off.
